What is Keto diet??
This is an acronym for “ketogenic”, which describes a very low carb / high fat diet that turns the human body into a state of “ketosis” or flaking ketones. (Ketones are chemicals produced by the liver after breaking down fat, which can help suppress appetite.) Sounds a little scientific, but actually ketosis is just an alternative way to burn your body’s food for energy.
“Ketogenic ” is a term for a low-carb diet . The idea is for you to get more calories from protein and fat and less from carbohydrates. You cut back most on the carbs that are easy to digest, like sugar, soda, pastries, and white bread.
When you eat less than 50 grams of carbohydrates a day, your body eventually runs out of fuel (blood sugar) which it can use quickly. This usually takes 3 to 4 days. You will begin to break down proteins and fats to generate energy that will help you lose weight. It’s called ketosis. It is important to note that a ketogenic diet is a short-term diet focused on weight loss, not health benefits.
That’s because the keto diet has become one of the most popular methods worldwide to shed excess weight and improve health.
Research has demonstrated that adopting this low-carb, high-fat diet can promote fat loss and even improve certain conditions such as type 2 diabetes and cognitive decline.
